CVE-2024-8643Network attack vector

Unauthenticated session hijacking via session fixation

Published Sep 27, 2024 · Updated Jun 2, 2026

Session fixation in Oceanic Software ValeApp before 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to hijack authenticated sessions over the network. The public advisory identifies session fixation but does not disclose the affected endpoint, session token, or operation that accepts an attacker-chosen identifier. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation gives the attacker control of the victim’s active session.
