Reflected XSS via unvalidated preview parameter
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in amCharts: Charts and Maps 1.4.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted preview request. The preview handler accepts the amcharts_javascript parameter as arbitrary JavaScript without nonce validation and reflects it into the rendered page. Exploitation requires no account, but a victim must follow a crafted link or perform an equivalent attacker-directed action; the script then runs in that victim's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
