Sensitive database disclosure via unprepared shortcode query
Published Sep 25, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in mmrs151 Daily Prayer Time 2024.08.26 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data via a shortcode. The QuranDB.php query handling the quran_verse shortcode concatenates the user-controlled max_word attribute into an SQL statement without sufficient escaping or parameter preparation. Contributor-level access is required, and successful exploitation exposes sensitive information stored in the WordPress database.
