Authenticated arbitrary file upload via missing type validation
Published Nov 6, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Eyecix JobSearch WP Job Board 2.6.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write files to the server. The jobsearch_wp_handle_upload() function accepts attacker-supplied uploads without validating their file types, allowing dangerous executable content to pass the handler. Subscriber-level access is required, and successful placement of an executable file on the site can lead to code execution in the WordPress server context.
