Code execution via malformed CATPART parsing
Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Memory corruption in AcTranslators.exe in Autodesk AutoCAD products 2022 through 2024 allows remote attackers to execute code via CATPART files. The CATPART parser fails to validate user-supplied file data before processing it in memory, producing memory corruption in the current process. Exploitation is limited to Windows and requires a user to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page; successful attacks can crash the application, write sensitive data, or execute code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2022 <2022.1.6
- Affected versionversion=2023 <2023.1.7
