Code execution via 3DM parser use-after-free
Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Use-after-free in AutoCAD's atf_api.dll allows attackers to execute code in the current process via a crafted 3DM file. The 3DM parser accesses freed memory while processing attacker-controlled file data, enabling memory writes or a crash. Opening the file requires user interaction on Windows; other platforms are not affected, and execution inherits the current process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
