CVE-2024-8551Network attack vector

Arbitrary JSON reads and writes via unchecked filenames

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Path traversal in AgentScope 0.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read and write arbitrary JSON files through workflow requests. The save-workflow and load-workflow handlers join an attacker-controlled filename to the user cache directory without rejecting traversal sequences. No authentication or user interaction is required; reachable Studio services expose JSON configuration, secrets, or other JSON data to disclosure or modification.
