Database disclosure via unsanitized Basic username
Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Time-based SQL injection in VICIdial 2.14-917a allows remote attackers to enumerate database records through an unauthenticated endpoint. VERM_AJAX_functions.php copies the Basic Authorization username into an INSERT statement without sanitization, enabling conditional sleep calls. Network access to that PHP endpoint is sufficient; the timing oracle can reveal database contents, including plaintext credentials stored by default.
