Administrator account takeover via missing nonce validation
Published Sep 17, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Property Hive 2.0.19 and earlier allows remote attackers to change an administrator account via a forged request. The save_account_details function accepts account-name, email, and password changes without correctly validating a WordPress nonce. An administrator must interact with attacker-controlled content; a successful request changes the administrator's credentials and enables account takeover.
