Cross-origin data disclosure via unrestricted server CORS
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
CORS misconfiguration in ModelScope AgentScope 0.0.4 allows remote attackers to read server run data through a victim's browser. The Flask web UI calls flask_cors.CORS(app) without an origin allowlist, authorizing cross-origin access across its routes. Exploitation requires a user to visit attacker-controlled content that requests the running web UI; the published PoC reads the run-data API.
