CVE-2024-8483Network attack vector

Authenticated private-content disclosure via unchecked shortcode ID

Published Sep 25, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Information exposure in MAS Static Content 1.0.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read private static content pages. The static_content() shortcode handler accepts a supplied post ID and renders the referenced post without enforcing its private publication status. Contributor-level access is sufficient to embed the shortcode and disclose private static-content posts, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.
