Session theft via insufficient index.php output encoding
Published Sep 5, 2024 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
Cross-site scripting in PHPGurukul Job Portal 1.0 allows remote attackers to steal authenticated users' session details. Multiple parameters in /jobportal/index.php are incorporated into generated web content without sufficient output encoding; public sources do not identify the parameter names. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to interact with the injected content, after which the attacker can retrieve that user's session details.
