Unauthenticated service crash via crafted swctrl packets
Published Sep 30, 2024 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
Denial of service in swctrl on affected PLANET switches allows remote attackers to crash the service with crafted packets. TWCERT/CC and PLANET identify swctrl as the packet-processing locus but do not disclose the packet fields or failing code path. No authentication or user interaction is required; the bounded consequence is interruption of the swctrl discovery and remote-management service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
