CVE-2024-8447Network attack vector

Service crash or hang via LRA lock contention

Published Jan 2, 2025 · Updated Sep 7, 2026

Deadlock in the Narayana LRA Coordinator before 7.1.0.Final allows remote attackers to crash or hang the service via concurrent requests. The joinLRA method held a method-wide synchronized monitor while cancellation changed the same LRA, allowing a Join during the Canceling window to block progress indefinitely. Exploitation requires a Join for the same LRA ID during the roughly two-second cancellation window and causes only a service crash or hang.
