Sensitive database disclosure via unprepared image queries
Published Sep 24, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in WP Easy Gallery 4.8.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to extract sensitive database information. The image-edit handlers place the user-controlled edit_imageId and edit_imageDelete parameters into existing SQL queries without sufficient escaping or preparation. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to append SQL statements and read sensitive data stored by the WordPress database.
