Unauthenticated file upload via insufficient type validation
Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in WP Swings Ultimate Gift Cards for WooCommerce 2.9.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to place files on the server. The mwb_wgm_preview_mail and mwb_wgm_woocommerce_add_cart_item_data functions accept uploaded files without sufficient file-type validation. No authentication is required; arbitrary server-side file placement is confirmed, while code execution depends on the uploaded file being accessible and executable.
