Code execution via unchecked ZM2 object use
Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Oct 8, 2024
Use-after-free in Zelio Soft 2 before 5.4.2.2 allows remote attackers to execute code by inducing a user to open a malicious ZM2 file. The ZM2 parser performs operations on an object without first validating that the object still exists. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs attacker-controlled code in the application process, with possible crash, data disclosure, or data modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <5.4.2.2
