Authenticated browser script execution via uploaded HTML
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Stored XSS in GaiZhenbiao ChuanhuChatGPT before 20240410 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript via uploaded HTML files. The bundled Gradio 3.44.0 file-handling path permits uploaded HTML containing embedded script to execute when the file is accessed; the upstream patch replaces that dependency with Gradio 4.26.0. Low-privilege application access is required to store the file, and a separate user must access it before script execution occurs.
