Authenticated SQL injection via unescaped contact parameter
Published Sep 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Contact Manager with Export to VCF 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries. The delete-account.php handler inserts the GET contact value directly into a quoted DELETE statement without validation, escaping, or parameterization. A valid application session reaches the handler, and injected SQL can read, change, or delete data available to the application database account.
