Arbitrary command execution via unsanitized update path
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
OS command injection in Visteon Infotainment cmu150_NA_74.00.324A allows physically proximate attackers to execute code via a crafted USB update. REFLASH_DDU_ExtractFile in libjcireflashua.so interpolates the attacker-controlled up_path into an unzip command without sanitization before passing it to system(). Physical USB access and a crafted .up update are required; injected commands run in the head unit's Linux shell and enable full device compromise.
