Unauthenticated code execution via serialization-check bypass
Published Sep 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHP object injection in GiveWP 3.16.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted donation-form parameters. Donation processing applies stripslashes_deep to user_info before checking serialization, letting escaped objects bypass is_serialized and reach deserialization. No account or user interaction is required; an available POP chain permits command execution or arbitrary file deletion on the WordPress host.
