CVE-2024-8349Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator access via unrestricted group-member editing

Published Sep 25, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Missing authorization in Uncanny Groups for LearnDash 6.1.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to gain administrator access. The group-management flow lets a Group Leader add an existing administrator to a managed group, change that account's email address, and reset its password without checking the member's role. Exploitation requires Group Leader access and the normally disabled user-editing setting; chaining the companion group-add flaw removes that configuration gate.
