Database query manipulation via unescaped index identifiers
Published Aug 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 30, 2024
SQL injection in the Sweet-CMS table-index endpoint allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries through crafted index data. CreateTableIndex passes user-controlled index names and field identifiers into fmt.Sprintf, then executes the resulting CREATE INDEX statement without validation or escaping. The route belongs to an authenticated administrative group, and successful injection can read, modify, or delete data available to the database account.
