Unauthenticated isolation-status spoofing through Network Isolation
Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Missing authentication in Ivanti EPM before 2022 SU6 or the 2024 September update allows remote attackers to spoof isolation status. Ivanti has not published the request handler or validation logic; its advisory identifies only the Network Isolation function as lacking authentication. No credentials or user interaction are required, and forged status can misrepresent whether managed devices are isolated without disclosing data or interrupting service.
