CVE-2024-8314Network attack vector

Authenticated session takeover via cross-session data exposure

Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Incorrect session handling in B&R APROL before 4.4-00P5 allows remote authenticated users to take over an active user session. B&R identifies an incorrectly implemented authentication algorithm that exposes a data element to the wrong session, but does not disclose the affected function or erroneous operation. Exploitation requires network access, a low-privileged account, user interaction, and an active victim session; successful abuse grants the victim session's privileges.
