Improper privilege management in Vijeo Designer before 6.3 SP1 and all embedded versions allows local users to elevate privileges. The application permits non-admin users to tamper with binaries in a way that triggers privilege escalation; the affected files and privilege transition are undisclosed. A non-admin workstation account is required, and successful exploitation grants unauthorized access that can compromise workstation data and availability.
