CVE-2024-8295Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unrestricted banner upload

Published Aug 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 29, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in FeehiCMS 2.1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code through banner creation. The createBanner handler accepts BannerForm[img] without restricting dangerous file types, allowing executable content to be stored. Access to the administrative banner endpoint is required; requesting an uploaded server-side script executes code with web-service privileges.
