Stored XSS via unescaped slide link setting
Published Sep 30, 2024 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Slider by 10Web before 1.2.59 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript when a visitor clicks a crafted slide. The slide link setting is stored without adequate sanitization or escaping and inserted into a wds_slide_redirect_link call, letting crafted text escape the argument. Administrator privileges and a visitor click are required; disabling unfiltered_html does not stop the payload from running in the site's origin.
