Stored script execution via unescaped align attribute
Published Oct 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in VowelWeb Ibtana – WordPress Website Builder 1.2.4.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject browser scripts. The wp:ive/ive-productscarousel Gutenberg block accepts its align attribute without sufficient input sanitization and emits it without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored script runs in a visitor's browser whenever the injected page is viewed.
