Authenticated command injection via captive-shell input
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Command injection in Lenovo XClarity Controller allows remote authenticated users with elevated privileges to execute OS commands. The XCC SSH captive shell fails to neutralize special elements in crafted command-line input before invoking an operating-system command. Reachability requires an elevated XCC account and SSH access; successful exploitation executes commands with the controller's privileges.
