Authenticated command execution via crafted file
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Command injection in Lenovo XClarity Controller firmware allows remote authenticated users with elevated privileges to execute commands via a crafted file. Lenovo identifies the locus only as XCC file-input validation and has not disclosed the parser, file type, or unsafe operation that reaches a command interpreter. The same path can interrupt the controller recoverably; exploitation requires a valid elevated XCC account and file submission.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
