Privileged command execution via crafted file upload
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Command injection in Lenovo XClarity Controller allows remote authenticated users with elevated privileges to execute commands via file uploads. Lenovo has not published the upload handler or the missing neutralization operation that passes crafted file data to an OS command. An elevated XCC account and network access to the management interface are required, and successful exploitation grants command execution in the controller environment.
