CVE-2024-8256

Protected-resource disclosure via overbroad API permissions

Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Dec 10, 2024

Improper access control in Teltonika RutOS 7.0 through 7.7 and TSWOS 1.0 through 1.2 allows remote authenticated users to read protected API resources. The API access-control layer grants default low-privilege accounts permission to security-critical resources instead of restricting them to privileged roles. Exploitation requires a low-privilege account and adjacent-network access; published details do not identify the exposed endpoints or resource data.
