Stored XSS via forged timeout setting
Published Apr 9, 2025 · Updated Apr 9, 2025
Stored XSS in Felix Ker WordPress/Plugin Upgrade Time Out Plugin 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject script through CSRF. The settings handler accepts an untrusted timeout POST value without a CSRF token, sanitization, or output escaping and stores the value. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML, after which the payload executes in the site's administrative context.
