Authenticated SQL injection via category ID
Published Aug 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Music Gallery Site 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter queries through the id parameter. The /admin/categories/manage_category.php handler incorporates the id value into an SQL command without neutralizing SQL syntax, so crafted input changes the database operation. Access to the administrative category-management interface requires valid credentials, and successful injection can read or modify application data or interrupt database-backed operations.
