CVE-2024-8201Network attack vector

Cross-origin session access via unchecked WebSocket Origin

Published May 16, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025

Cross-site WebSocket hijacking in Hitachi Ops Center Analyzer RAID Agent allows remote attackers to read and alter application data. The RAID Agent's WebSocket handling fails to validate the browser-supplied Origin during connection setup; Hitachi has not disclosed the endpoint or code locus. Exploitation requires a user to load attacker-controlled content, after which requests run with that browser context and can expose or modify data.
