Unauthenticated protected-post disclosure via unchecked debug handlers
Published Aug 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Permalink Manager Lite 2.4.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to read protected posts through debug requests. The debug_data, debug_query, and debug_redirect handlers return post passwords, titles, and content without checking a WordPress user capability. No account or user interaction is required, and disclosure is limited to data exposed by those handlers, including password-protected posts.
