CVE-2024-8191

Code execution via unvalidated WasPreviouslyMapped SQL query

Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 12, 2024

SQL injection in Ivanti Endpoint Manager before 2022 SU6 or the 2024 September Security Update allows attackers to execute service-account code. The WasPreviouslyMapped method uses a user-supplied string to construct SQL queries without validating it, enabling injected SQL to reach code execution. Exploitation requires a target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, unless application administrator credentials are available.
