Remote service crash via retained client records

Resource exhaustion in affected Eclipse Jetty releases allows remote attackers to crash servers through repeated crafted HTTP requests. ThreadLimitHandler.getRemote() retains a map entry for each resolved client IP after its request completes, so distinct addresses accumulate without a release path. The flaw is reachable only when ThreadLimitHandler is enabled; it exhausts server memory and interrupts service without reported data exposure or modification.
