Browser script execution via unescaped login username
Published Aug 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Code Projects Blood Bank System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through the login form. login.php copies the POST user value into a single-quoted JavaScript alert argument without output encoding, allowing a crafted value to close the script context and inject another script. Victim interaction is required; the payload executes in the rendered login response and does not directly interrupt the service.
