Administrator command injection via ftptest.cgi input
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Command injection in AXIS OS 10.9 through 12.0 allows remote authenticated users to transfer files to or from an Axis device. The VAPIX ftptest.cgi endpoint passes insufficiently validated administrator-supplied input into the command path used for FTP testing. Exploitation requires an administrator-privileged service account; Axis has not disclosed any broader command-execution consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
