Stored script execution via unsanitized bookmark fields
Published Aug 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in QR Code Bookmark System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The update-bookmark.php endpoint accepts crafted tbl_bookmark_id, name, and url values without proper sanitization or validation before rendering them as page content. A valid low-privilege session and a victim viewing the modified bookmark are required, bounding impact to browser-context data access and actions.
