Browser script execution via unsanitized bookmark parameter
Published Aug 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester QR Code Bookmark System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a victim's browser. The delete-bookmark.php endpoint returns the bookmark parameter in an HTML response without adequate sanitization or output encoding. A victim must load the crafted response; the script then executes in the application's origin and can modify content available to that browser session.
