Script execution via unescaped position parameter
Published Aug 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Reflected XSS in the Logo Handler of ClassCMS 4.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via the position parameter. The /index.php/admin page returns the position value in an HTML response without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires access to the administrative interface and a browser to render the crafted response; the resulting script runs in that browser's ClassCMS origin.
