Authenticated reflected XSS via unencoded position parameter
Published Aug 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Reflected XSS in SourceCodester Record Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via the position parameter. sort1_user.php places the POST position value into returned HTML without context-appropriate output encoding, so a browser parses supplied markup as script. A valid session and user interaction are required; script executes in the victim's application origin and can alter page content or access session-visible data.
