CVE-2024-8134Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via f_source_dev parameter injection

Published Aug 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024

Command injection in D-Link NAS and NVR appliances through 20240814 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The cgi_FMT_Std2R5_1st_DiskMGR function in /cgi-bin/hd_config.cgi passes the f_source_dev parameter into a command without neutralizing command separators. Access to the HTTP POST handler is required; injected commands can read, alter, or interrupt data and appliance services.
