Command injection in D-Link NAS and NVR appliances dated 20240814 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands. The cgi_s3 function in /cgi-bin/s3.cgi passes the HTTP POST parameter f_a_key into a command without neutralizing command syntax. Access to the web configuration interface is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the CGI process's appliance privileges.
