OS command injection in D-Link NAS and NVR appliances through 20240814 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via HTTP POST. The cgi_s3_modify function in /cgi-bin/s3.cgi passes the f_job_name POST parameter into an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax. Access to the web configuration interface and valid authentication are required; injected commands can read or alter appliance data and interrupt services.
