Stored script execution via unsanitized SVG uploads
Published Oct 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Slider Revolution 6.7.18 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through uploaded SVG files. The SVG upload path accepts active script content because it neither sanitizes the file sufficiently nor escapes that content before serving it. Administrator access is required by default; sites extending Slider Revolution configuration to Authors expose visitors who open the stored SVG to script execution in the site's origin.
