Stored XSS via CSRF-forged settings update

Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025

Stored XSS in BabelZ – Google Translate Widget 1.1.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject script through a forged settings request. The BabelZ.php admin settings handler accepts the BabelZ-G-AnalyticsB field without a CSRF token, sanitization, or output escaping. A logged-in administrator must open attacker-controlled HTML; the stored payload then executes in the administrator’s browser.
